Buffalo "Potato" Wedges with Blue Cheese Drizzle

Buffalo "Potato" Wedges


INGREDIENTS
2 Medium Rutabagas - Cleaned and peeled
4 Tbs. Butter
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
1/8 tsp. Black Pepper
1/2 Cup Buffalo Wing Sauce
1/4 Cup Blue Cheese Dressing
2 Green Onions - Chopped
(2 Tbs. Peace and Love)

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400°  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Clean and peel rutabagas and slice into wedges. 

Melt butter and mix in salt, onion, powder, and black pepper.  Coat rutabaga wedges liberally with seasoned, melted butter.

Line wedges in a single layer on baking sheet.  Bake for 30 minutes.  

Remove from oven, toss with buffalo wings sauce, place back in oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes. 

Plate and drizzle with blue cheese dressing.  Top with chopped green onion.  SERVE AND ENJOY!

  4. I made them with bacon grease instead of butter and next time I would cut way back on the bacon grease but they were way yummy! I shredded my second Rutabaga and tried making hashbrowns out of them (like the WellFed blogger) and used rutabaga instead of jicama and they were very tasty!

  6. Do you think turnips (not the greens) could be used in this recipe? I use them as potato substitutes in pot roast and they work well. Let me know what you think, please.
