ZENSAH - Seamless Power Running Jacket - Review

This beautiful jacket is the Seamless Power Running Jacket by ZENSAH.  I am so happy that I got the opportunity to test out this newest addition to their running apparel line.   Before I tell you all about the jacket, let me tell you a little bit about Zensah.

WHO/WHAT IS ZENSAH? - From their site -
Based on the Italian word "SENZA" meaning to be "without" so too should athletes be "without limits." This mantra inspires us each and every day to create the most cutting edge sports apparel. All of our products are developed using seamless technology, simply meaning they are made without seams.

Zensah was created to help athletes at all levels improve their performance by utilizing innovative sportswear made with cutting edge technology.

Zensah's revolutionary seamless design consists of an ultra-breathable, moisture wicking fabric that draws sweat away from the body, allowing the garment and athlete to stay cool, dry and light. Zensah, the pioneer of graduated compression apparel, has created revolutionary seamless sportswear designed as a true second-skin fit, giving the athlete greater performance, comfort and mobility.

Our technology has allowed us to create groundbreaking products and enhance our athletes' performances not only in training but more importantly in competition.

Here are the things I instantly noticed and loved about it:

-It comes in a nice long length.  As a tall woman, I always appreciate longer lengths
-It has long sleeves, with thumb holes
-It has ruching through the mid-section making it even more figure flattering
-It is moisture wicking
-It has a slimming, compression fit
-It stays put while your body is in motion
-It has a back zipper pocket
-It is ventilated in the armpit area and all down the sides
-It is very breathable.
-It is stylish and I would wear it even while not exercising.

The back features a zipper pocket.  This is perfect for all the things you may want to carry with you on your runs... Debit card, I.D, keys, GU shots, etc.  It is a nice roomy pocket that could accommodate many of your "must have" items for shorter runs.

In the photo above you can see the ruching along the front midsection.  Ruching goes a long way to help create a slimming look.  The fit of this jacket is so flattering that I kept looking in the mirror and marveling at how thin I felt while I was wearing it.  It is fitted through the sides so it is already tailored to fit the natural curves of your body.  This also adds to the slimming effect.

Along with having a seamless design to reduce chafing , it also has a zipper garage on the front zipper.  This came in really handy on my last run.  It was 28 degrees and I definitely had my jacket zipped all the way up.  Some of my other jackets without a zipper garage definitely would have left marks on my neck because of the zipper being up all the way.

The sleeve and the back of the neck have reflective Zensah logos that are really helpful for keeping safe and visible during night time runs.   Also, the sleeves are nice and long and they have thumb holes. (Which, if you have read any of my prior reviews, you already know I love.)  Being 5'10", I have a pretty long arm span.  I love coats, and hoodies that have thumb holes but normally when I wear them, the sleeves aren't long enough and they just pull on my thumbs.  This was not the case with this jacket.  The sleeves are so long that I actually had length to spare.  This instantly won me over.  I will not wear clothes that I feel are too short in sleeve length or inseam.  I like my sleeves long and I like my pants long.

The jacket is ventilated through the armpits and down the sides and is moisture wicking as well as anti-microbial. It is extremely breathable and is also thermal regulating.  Simply put, thermal regulating fabric helps to adjust to the needs of the body and regulate body temperature when performing physical activities in varying external temperatures.

Here are more photos from my first run of the year "The No Sun, Fun Run 5k"  There was definitely no sun as it was 28 degrees but I did have a lot of fun.  Look and fit wise, I already loved this jacket.  But wearing it for this run was a true test of the functionality of it.  I was able to see if Zensah products live up to their claims.  I am proud to report that they absolutely do.  I am notorious for tugging at my clothes to keep them in place.  It is a bad habit that I hope to one day break.  BUT with this jacket I didn't have to worry about it.  It stayed put during the whole run.  It never crept up at the bottom.  Not even once.  That was huge!!! Even if I did not already like so many other things about it, this would have made me love it anyway.  There is enough to worry about during a race without worrying about your clothing.  Even being the cynical person that I am, I can't seem to think of a single negative thing about this jacket.  I absolutely LOVE it.
