Let's start with the AvOmega avocado oil.  If you have been following my page for a while, then you already know how much I love this product.  I use it daily. I have given away several bottles of it and it has become pretty much the only oil I use in my house (other than olive oil)  I use it to cook everything.  I even use it on the rare occasion that I fry foods.  It has a super high smoke point of 520° making it a great, healthy option when it comes to frying.  I have also used it to make several different salad dressing.  Here is a Balsamic Shallot Vinaigrette recipe that I made with it.
Here are some additional facts about the oil
- It has a smoke point of 520 degrees which makes it perfect for grilling, sauteing, frying, etc.
- More heart-healthy monounsaturated fat than olive oil
- Rich in antioxidants
- Refined without chemicals to preserve phytonutrients
- Roughly 25 of the finest, richest, Mexican Hass avocados go into each bottle of their avocado oil
- It should be stored in a cool, dark place to preserve the stability of the fatty acids in the oil
________________________________________________________________________________

Now, for the Chia Seeds.  Chia is a lot more than some silly thing you sprout from a clay pot shaped like a dog. Chia seeds are an ancient superfood.  Did you know Chia is the Mayan word for "Strength". Aptly named for it's energizing power. Chia seeds are a great source of Omega-3.  They are the highest source of natural plant based omega-3 fatty acids. 2 Tbs. have more Omega-3 than two servings of salmon.   They are gluten-free and contain more than double the fiber of ground flax seed.  To get the same amount of fiber you get from 2 Tbs. of these seeds, you would need to eat 5 whole pieces of wheat bread (Supposing you actually even eat bread) They are rich in antioxidants (Even higher than blueberries)  Those same 2 Tbs. contain nearly as much protein as an egg.  As if this wasn't enough, here are some more benefits of adding Chia to your diet:

-Zero net carbs
-Can help curb cravings
-They stabilize blood sugar
-Help prevent diverticulitis
-Increased energy levels
-Aid in detoxification and elimination
-Support heart health.
-Binds 10 times it weight in water which helps you stay hydrated
The list goes on and on...

How do you use it??  You can sprinkle it on salads, mix it in yogurt, use it in low-carb pudding recipes.  It can be mixed with water and used as a substitution for eggs in many recipes. You can sprout it and use it in salads or for sprouted breads. You can grind it and use it as a flour substitution for baking.  It can be used as a thickening agent it soups and stews.  You can mix it with water to create a gel and substitute it for the fats in baking recipes (butter, oil, etc.) Or you can simple swallow a spoonful of it with water.  (I have been known to do this on occasion)
________________________________________________________________________________

Next, in the trio, we have the Nopal Cactus Powder.  It is 100% natural bio-active fiber and is also gluten-free.  Like the chia seeds, it also has zero net carbs.  Nopal cactus has 9 grams of dietary fiber per serving to help you feel full faster.  It helps to keep cholesterol levels balanced, reduces inflammation and helps to keep blood sugar in the normal ranges.  Keeping your blood sugar in the normal range can help you feel more energized throughout the day.

Here are some interesting facts from their website about the affects Nopal Cactus powder can have on blood sugar regulation:

"Clinical studies have well documented nopal cactus has a unique ability promote stable blood sugar and prevent hyperglycemia in those suffering from Type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes. The reason is thought to be two-fold. Nopal is high in soluble and insoluble fiber, as well as potent phytonutrients. Fiber naturally promotes health blood sugar levels, but the phytonutrients may have an effect on insulin sensitivity on a cellular level. Research shows that nopal effects cellular mechanisms to block glucose production in the liver and slow carbohydrate absorption.

A clinical trial in Diabetes Care, showed that after a 12-hour fast, diabetics taking nopal had a significant decline in blood sugar and increased insulin sensitivity. Nopal decreased blood sugar by 17 to 46 percent for up to six hours. Blood sugar regulation is critical for those suffering from Type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes, but its just as important for those in better health. Stable blood sugar promotes weight loss and increases energy levels by eliminating the high’s and low’s caused by fluctuating blood sugar."

Here are some other benefits of adding Nopal Cactus to your diet:

- supports weight loss
-Promotes digestive health
-Helps to fight chronic disease and inflammation
-Improved blood lipid profiles
-Reduces Appetite
-High levels of phytonutrients
-Helps to normalize cholesterol levels

How do you use it?  Simply mix it in with any of your favorite food and drinks to enjoy the massive health benefits of Nopal Cactus powder.

This wellness trio also comes with a battery powered, hand-held, portable mini-mixer.

  120. I am most excited about the Chia seeds. I have diverticulitis and Celiac's... I have been about 85% Paleo for a year now, but have a difficult time finding foods to eat in my town. This would be awesome! Thanks for the opportunity!
